🎓 Educational Qualification
- Must be a Graduate
- In the absence of sufficient qualified SC/ST candidates, those who have passed Intermediate/Pre-University may be considered for filling the reserved quota.
Physical Standards

- Chest 81 cm with 5 cm expansion 76 cm with 5 cm expansion
✔ Must meet visual standards without glasses – 6/6 distant vision and 0.5 near vision in both eyes.
✔ Colour blindness, squint or any morbid eye condition is a disqualification.
✔ Should be free from physical defects such as knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs etc.
Candidates must produce a medical fitness certificate from a Civil Surgeon at the time of Physical Efficiency Test.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of the following 8 items (One-Star National Physical Efficiency Standards):
- 100 m run - 14 seconds
- High Jump -132.20 cm
- Long Jump -457.20 cm
- Shot Put (7.264 kg)- 609.60 cm
- Throwing the Cricket Ball- 6096 cm
- Rope Climbing -365.80 cm
- Pull-Ups/Chinning -8 times
- 1500 m run 5 minutes- 44 seconds
Training & Service Conditions
✔ Selected candidates will undergo one year of training at the Police Training College or another institution specified by the Government / State Police Chief.
✔ Training period will not count as duty for increment/ probation/ service benefits.
✔ Stipend will be provided during training.
✔ After training, the candidate will be on probation for two years within a continuous period of three years.
