DSSSB Recruitment 2026: 641 Vacancies for Senior Personal Assistant, Personal Assistant, JJA, Process Server & Peon

DSSSB Recruitment 2026: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 04/2026 for recruitment to various posts in Delhi District & Sessions Courts and Family Courts. A total of 641 vacancies are notified for Senior Personal Assistant, Personal Assistant, Junior Judicial Assistant, Process Server and Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon posts. 

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the DSSSB recruitment portal from 6 October 2026. The last date to apply is 4 November 2026 up to 11:00 PM.

DSSSB Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
The educational qualification varies according to the post.
Senior Personal Assistant

  • Candidates should be graduates with:
  • - Shorthand speed: 110 words per minute
  • - Typing speed: 40 words per minute
  • - No experience is prescribed as essential.
  • The pay scale mentioned in the advertisement is ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,800, Group-B (Non-Gazetted).     final_adv_1
Personal Assistant
  • Candidates should be graduates with:
  • - Shorthand speed: 100 words per minute
  • - Typing speed: 40 words per minute
  • - Knowledge of computer
  • The pay scale is ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,600, Group-B (Non-Gazetted).    

Junior Judicial Assistant
Candidates should be graduates with a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute on computer.
The pay scale is ₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,800, Group-C.     

Process Server
Candidates should have:

  • - Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board OR
  • - Higher Secondary with LMV driving licence and 2 years of unblemished driving experience, as specified in the notification.
  • The pay scale is ₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,400, Group-C.  
Peon / Orderly / Dak Peon

Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
The pay scale is ₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,000, Group-C.     

DSSSB Age Limit 2026

  • The general age limit for these posts is 18 to 27 years, with the age being reckoned as on 1 June 2026.
  • For the general age limit, candidates should have been born not earlier than 02 June 1999 and not later than 01 June 2008.   

Age Relaxation
The notification provides the following upper-age concessions:
Category    Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST    5 years
  • OBC    3 years
  • PwBD + UR/EWS    10 years
  • PwBD + SC/ST    15 years
  • PwBD + OBC    13 years
  • Ex-Servicemen    Military service + 3 years, subject to the specified maximum age

The notification also states that specific relaxation available under the relevant Recruitment Rules will apply where applicable.     

DSSSB Application Fee

  • The application fee is ₹100.
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Serviceman categories are exempted from payment of the application fee, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification.
  • The fee has to be paid through SBI e-pay. The notification states that the application fee once paid will not be refunded.  

DSSSB Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process differs according to the post.
Senior Personal Assistant & Personal Assistant
The examination consists of:

  • 1. Tier-I – MCQ
  • 2. Tier-II – Descriptive English Test
  • 3. Tier-III – Skill Test
  • 4. Tier-IV – Interview

Tier-I consists of 90 MCQs for 90 marks with a duration of 90 minutes.
Subjects include:

  • - General English & Comprehension – 50 marks
  • - General Knowledge including Current Affairs – 20 marks
  • - General Intelligence – 20 marks
  • The Tier-II descriptive paper includes:
  • - Essay – 250 words, 30 marks
  • - Grammar – 25 marks
  • - Translation – 20 words, 20 marks

For Senior Personal Assistant, the shorthand skill test is at 110 wpm, while for Personal Assistant it is 100 wpm. Typing speed required is 40 wpm.  

Junior Judicial Assistant
The examination consists of:

  • - Tier-I MCQ – 120 marks
  • - Tier-II Descriptive English – 100 marks
  • - Tier-III Typing Test – 40 wpm
  • - Tier-IV Interview

Tier-I includes General English & Comprehension, General Knowledge including Current Affairs and General Intelligence.

Process Server
The selection process includes:

  • - Tier-I Objective/MCQ – 100 marks
  • - Tier-II Driving/Skill Test
  • - Tier-III Interview – 15 marks
  • The written examination covers English, Hindi, General Knowledge including Current Affairs and Arithmetic. The driving test is qualifying in nature and is conducted in real traffic conditions.   

Peon / Orderly / Dak Peon
The selection process consists of:
- Tier-I Objective/MCQ – 100 marks
- Tier-II Interview – 15 marks
The written examination covers:
- English – 25 marks
- Hindi – 25 marks
- General Knowledge including Current Affairs – 25 marks
- Arithmetic – 25 marks

DSSSB Exam Pattern and Negative Marking
According to the notification:
- Each MCQ carries 1 mark.
- 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Minimum qualifying marks for UR/EWS candidates are 50%.
- Minimum qualifying marks for OBC (Delhi), SC, ST, PH/PwBD and ESM candidates are 45%.

How to Apply for DSSSB Recruitment 2026?
Eligible candidates must apply online only.
Step 1 -Visit the DSSSB online application portal.
Step 2 - Complete the DSSSB registration if you are a new applicant.
Step 3 -Log in using the User ID and Password generated during registration.
Step 4-Select the relevant examination/post and carefully enter the required details.
Step 5-Upload the required photograph and other documents as specified.
Step 6-Pay the applicable application fee through SBI e-pay.
Step 7-Submit the application and take a printout/save a copy for future reference.
The notification states that DSSSB registration is a one-time exercise and candidates should not create multiple registrations. Multiple applications/registrations can lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment.
