Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026):
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (02 July 2002 – 01 July 2006) (Up to 26 years for CPL holders)
- Ground Duty (Tech/Non-Tech): 20 to 26 years (02 July 2000 – 01 July 2006)
Marital Status: Unmarried at the time of course commencement.
Educational Qualifications
Flying Branch: Minimum 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a three-year graduation degree or BE/BTech with 60% from a recognised university.
Ground Duty (Technical): Minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Maths at 10+2 and a degree in Engineering/Technology.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.
Physical & Medical Standards
Candidates must meet IAF’s physical and medical standards. Training includes rigorous physical conditioning including running, swimming, rope climbing, etc.
Pay & Perks
- Pay on Commissioning: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level 10)
- Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500
- Training Stipend: ₹56,100/month

How to Apply
- Visit afcat.cdac.in
- Register using Aadhaar number and PAN Card.
- Pay exam fee: ₹550 + GST (NCC Special Entry is exempted)
- Submit the application before 01 July 2025.
Selection Process
- Written Test (Online AFCAT) for all except NCC Special Entry.
- SSB Interview (Air Force Selection Board).
- Medical Examination.
- Merit-based selection.
Important Instructions
- Tattoos allowed only on inner forearms or back of hands.
- Narcotics use is strictly banned.
- Physical fitness and discipline are essential throughout the process.
