The Indian Coast Guard has announced the Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT) – 01/2026 & 02/2026 for recruitment of Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch), and Yantrik posts. Interested male Indian citizens can apply online between 11th June 2025 (11:00 AM) to 25th June 2025 (11:30 PM) at the official website: joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in.
Posts & Educational Qualifications
- Navik (General Duty):12th passed with Maths & Physics (COBSE recognized board)
- Navik (Domestic Branch):10th passed (COBSE recognized board)
- Yantrik:10th passed + Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering (AICTE approved)
Age Limit (as on recruitment batch)
- Navik (GD & DB): Born between 01 Aug 2004 to 01 Aug 2008
- Yantrik: Born between 01 Mar 2004 to 01 Mar 2008
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer)
Selection Process
The selection is based on a four-stage process:
Stage I – Computer Based Exam
- Multiple sections based on the post (e.g., Maths, Physics, Reasoning, GK)
- No negative marking
Stage II – Physical Fitness Test & Document Verification
- 1.6 km run in 7 mins, 20 squats, 10 push-ups
Stage III – Final Document Verification & Medicals at INS Chilka
- Stage IV – Final Enrolment & Verification of Documents
