Vacancy Details
The 750 apprentice positions are distributed across various states and union territories with reservations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). For example:
- Tamil Nadu: 200 vacancies
- Uttar Pradesh: 110 vacancies
- Maharashtra: 85 vacancies
- Kerala: 33 vacancies
- Bihar: 35 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality
- Must be a Citizen of India.
- Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 28 years (General/EWS)
Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Widows/divorced women: up to 35 years (Gen/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST)
Educational Qualification
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
- For NATS-registered candidates, graduation results should be declared between 01.04.2021 and 01.08.2025.
Stipend
- Metro Branches: ₹15,000/month
- Urban Branches: ₹12,000/month
- Semi-Urban/Rural Branches: ₹10,000/month
(Includes ₹4,500/month government subsidy via DBT mode)
Selection Process
- Online Examination (100 marks, 90 minutes)
- General/Financial Awareness – 25 Qs
- General English – 25 Qs
- Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude – 25 Qs
- Computer/Subject Knowledge – 25 Qs
Local Language Test
- Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they apply for.
- Document Verification & Personal Interaction (if applicable)
Application Fee
- PwBD: ₹472 (including GST)
- Female/SC/ST: ₹708 (including GST)
- GEN/OBC/EWS: ₹944 (including GST)
How to Apply
- Register on NATS (https://nats.education.gov.in) or NAPS (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).
- Visit BFSI SSC Career Opportunities and search for “IOB Apprenticeship Program 2025-26”.
- Fill in the online application form and pay the fee online.
- Take a printout of the application for future reference.
Important Notes
- Apprentices are not employees of the bank and will not be entitled to employee benefits.
- Duration of apprenticeship: 1 year.
- No guarantee of regular employment after training.
- Candidates with prior apprenticeship or more than 1 year of work experience after graduation are not eligible.
