Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality
You must be a citizen of India.
2. Age Limit
- 18 to 23 years as on 01 January 2026
- Born between 02 January 2003 and 01 January 2008
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- Ex-servicemen: +3 years (after deducting service)
3. Educational Qualification
Must have passed 10th class (Matriculation) on or before 01 January 2026.
🧪 Selection Process
SSC GD selection has five stages:
1️⃣ Computer Based Examination (CBE)
- Objective-type paper
- 80 questions, 160 marks
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Languages: English, Hindi + 13 regional languages including Malayalam

- Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
- NCC candidates get bonus marks:

2️⃣ Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
For Male:
5 km run in 24 minutes
OR
1.6 km in 7 minutes (Ladakh)
For Female:
1.6 km in 8½ minutes
OR
800m in 5 minutes (Ladakh)
3️⃣ Physical Standard Test (PST)
Height:
- Male: 170 cm
- Female: 157 cm
(ST, NE States, Gorkhas, etc. get relaxation)
Chest (Male Only):
- 80 cm unexpanded
- 5 cm expansion
4️⃣ Medical Examination
Vision, physical health, and overall fitness are checked according to CAPF medical standards.
5️⃣ Document Verification
All certificates including domicile, caste certificate, NCC, educational proof etc. must be produced here.

- No fee for Women, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen
