Kerala PSC Station Officer Salary

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of:

  • ₹43,400 – ₹91,200 per month
  • Apart from the basic pay, employees are eligible for various government allowances and benefits as per Kerala Government rules.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess:

  • Preference will be given to candidates having Chemistry as the main subject.

  • Height: 165 cm
  • Weight: 50 kg
  • Chest: 81 cm
  • Chest Expansion: 5 cm
SC/ST Candidates
  • Height: 160 cm
  • Weight: 48 kg
  • Chest: 76 cm
  • Chest Expansion: 5 cm

Candidates not meeting the prescribed physical standards will not be allowed to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Vision Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Distant Vision: 6/6
  • Near Vision: 0.5
  • Full Field of Vision
  • No colour blindness or squint
  • Vision should be without glasses

Medical fitness must be certified by a Civil Surgeon or higher-ranking Medical Officer.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 events.

  • High Jump
  • Long Jump
  • Shot Put
  • Cricket Ball Throw

Training

  • Fire Service Training at the State Fire Service Training School/National Fire Service College or other recognized institution.
  • Six months of practical field training under experienced officers before independent posting.

Bond & Probation

Selected candidates must:

  • Execute a 7-year service bond.
  • Complete 2 years of probation within a continuous period of 3 years.
  • Pass departmental tests and First Aid examination during probation.
